Updated info:
Continued research on a series of impactful images gathered as drawings done after frames frozen from some old Hong Kong films
Impactful in the sense of relationship: how certain images are related to historical celebrated
images in the History of Art
Or how some images remain in my personal and intimate way of seeing as a child, of a long gone past -thought to have gone forever and yet resurfaced forcefully once reseen
Or how some moments
of frames became distilled as images that sum up the strength of a story,
and how such strength is seen as a collective understanding which leads to a timeless interpretation of a humanity that perhaps has been lost but again refound through
new ways of communication, such as the use of IPad as a studying tool to understand the power of visual impact
And finally,
the importance of a face, of celebrated faces as collective understanding of a culture and of an epoch,
hence my returning also to figurative art, in order to redefine a deeper meaning through an expression of a collective understanding of certain important values which were put aside, or simply ignored but proved to be of utter importance for personal
survival issues
