Process revealed

As if the future is being announced with hope when process is being revealed

Like the creation of a digital piece

Frame by frame

Colour by colour

Each brush work is a decision

But it is no longer hidden

That decision

Layer upon layer

Second upon second

We see our decision making

Looking back

Re-examine

A surprise

A consolation

We are alive

‘boat ride’ is a casual jotting of a journey which I take frequently

to recall the first ‘boat ride’ sketch done in Guilin

In January of 1984

Where I discovered the joy of being in the change , 

And the pleasure of fast noting of the changing scene

And now thirty seven years later, I found myself repeating the same way of jotting down my feelings of that change

Only to be further delighted

That my every single moment of making a decision in color and line and space

Can be instantly played back

As if the past is being resurrected 

Therefore

Process of creativity

When revealed 

consoles us

I am almost convinced 

That digital paintings need to be shown the actual making of the Process ( always )

This feelings of seeing the works done from the beginning to the end is very soul soothing, and may I say, it’s power of communication is spiritual- we can all understand each other, all of a sudden.
